UPDATING AND SIMULATION EXERCISES OF THE BUSINESS CONTINUITY PLAN (BCP)
DURATION: 3 days
PARTICIPANTS: Members of the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) Teams
PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
This 3-day Business Continuity Plan (BCP) training is designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills needed to develop, implement, and manage effective business continuity plans.
The training covers a comprehensive range of topics including disaster risk reduction principles, risk assessment, and analysis, core elements of BCP, and the integration of BCP into risk management processes.
Participants will review and assess the current BCP, learn about the proposed law affecting military and uniformed personnel, and engage in tactical planning.
The program culminates in simulation exercises to practice real-world application of the concepts learned.
PROGRAM GOAL:
The goal of this training is to enhance the participants’ ability to create and maintain robust business continuity plans that ensure organizational resilience in the face of various risks and disruptions.
By the end of the training, participants will be able to effectively assess risks, update and enhance existing BCPs, and respond to incidents through well-coordinated and efficient actions.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:

Reorient Participants on BCP Fundamentals:
- Understand the framework of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management.
- Learn the fundamentals of risk assessment and analysis.
- Grasp the core elements and steps to develop a BCP.
- Integrate BCP into risk management processes.
- Organize and mobilize BCP teams effectively.

Review and Assess the Current BCP:
- Gain a detailed understanding of the existing BCP.
- Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the current plan.
- Identify key areas for improvement and prioritize updates.

Understand the Impact of Proposed Legislation:
- Learn the salient features and provisions of the proposed MUP separation, retirement, and pension law.
- Assess the organization’s capability to adapt to new legislation.
- Identify challenges and opportunities posed by the proposed law.

Engage in Tactical Planning and BCP Enhancement:
- Develop scenarios and set strategic directions in response to new laws.
- Update and enhance the current BCP to address new challenges and requirements.
- Learn and apply the Incident Command System (ICS) principles within the BCP framework.

- Practice detecting and responding to various identified risks through simulation exercises.
- Implement and manage effective response actions.
- Ensure clear communication and continuous monitoring during incidents.
