Eckhon handled the industry-academe linkage and is also a Master Trainer of Information Technology Business Process Association Philippines. He is an industry professor teaching SMP subjects at José Rizal University, Asia Pacific College, and University Of Makati. Being a Master trainer, he conducts Train-the-Trainer sessions in seventeen (17) state universities across the nation. Recently, he accepted the invitation of Lyceum of the Philippines- Laguna as one of their board of advisers.
His role in IBPAP is focused on being a conduit for the industry and the academe. He is responsible for signing Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs) between these organizations. Aside from IBPAP, Eckhon is also a freelance leadership consultant, He trains employees on Leadership, Sales, Customer Service, Behavioral, and even Image workshops. His clients are Philippine Airforce, ABS-CBN, TMF Group, Eagle Cement, and Maxim Integrated to name a few.
Eckhon comes from the top IT-BPM institutions where he was responsible for the Learning and Development strategy implementation in the organization. His BPO career spans over fifteen (15) years in both local and international settings.
Previously, he was as a senior trainer for Brady Direct Marketing Philippines. Eckhon was also a marketing consultant for one of the top self-publishing firms in the US called Xlibris. He was responsible for helping newly-published authors gain popularity. He was also involved with TESDA and Mayk learning Centers’ near-hire projects. He was a leadership consultant for various BPOs like Sitel, People Support, and HTMT (now known as Hinduja) and non-BPO firms like Unionbank, Intellicare, and St Lukes Hospital. Eckhon was also an assistant manager for IBM Daksh where he was sent abroad for training for an airline company. He was also an assistant manager for Wipro BPO, Ltd. for the number one Telecom firm in the UK.
He studied at Ateneo for his primary and secondary education and went to University of Sto. Tomas to take up BS Tourism. He then took up AB Economics at St Joseph’s College. Eckhon continues to promote greater understanding of the IT-BPM industry by speaking to students and educators around the country. He believes that the benefits of a knowledge-based work economy lead to better career advancement and opportunity.
As he always says, “I find joy in being able to help forge lasting partnerships.” As far as being a Leadership Consultant, he imparts the knowledge that he has gained over the years and seeing that participants are very eager to learn new things is more than enough to make him feel fulfilled. He believes in continuous learning – to be able to enjoy living.
